Born and raised in Easton Valley, New Hampshire, Bode is also a great part of Tamarack Tennis Camp.
As well as living on location, Bode is a counselor, and an avid soccer player. Bode has dedicated his
free time in the summers to continuing to help make Tamarack a productive, and enjoyable tennis camp.
Bode's Story:
Born October 12, 1977, Bode was raised in a house
without running water or electricity. Starting skiing at the
age of three, Bode quickly adapted to the slopes. Soon
skiing became as easy as walking. Bode's own
style of speed before technique, was a very unorthodox approach, but it was very apparent that this was effective. Going as fast as
possible, and figuring out how he needed to adjust his body to keep himself in control is the "on the edge" method Bode uses to keep
himself an effective competitor.
Bode was a camper at the tennis camp, and also a part of the soccer camp. Easton New Hampshire, where Tamarack is located, has
it's own soccer team named the Easton Aliens, and has had the pleasure of encompassing Bode as a teammate. It was growing up in
this type of atmosphere of fun and recreation that drives Bode to be the most serious athlete he can be. If not for skiing, it is certain Bode
would have dedicated his life to tennis or soccer, and would have dominated those sports as well.
Now, Bode focuses on skiing in the winter, and tennis in the short months that Tamarack Tennis Camp is in session. Bode is a very
integral part of the success at Tamarack because of his understanding of sports, and his striving for excellence. Forget continually broken
records, or even Olympic medals, it's a warm personality, fun-loving nature, and a heart for home that makes Bode a winner.
